As the released bees grow and multiply, there are savage attacks on people, as well as hive explosions that kill thousands, leveling multiple city blocks in spectacular blasts. The public quickly dubs them “hell hornets,” huge, aggressive insects with an unquenchable thirst for petroleum products.
As the threat spreads across the nation, and then into other countries, Homeland Security Agent Jim Jones and his lovely young female partner Bonnie Parker are given the unenviable task of tackling the petrol bee problem. Together they lead a nationwide search and destroy effort.
Jones finds that some of his greatest challenges during this mammoth pest-control problem come from dealing with the US government—including some of the very people he’s supposed to answer to.
Eventually, the eradication effort falls to an unusual private corporation made up of scientists and other individuals.
Gordian Genetics Galactic Enterprises sets out to eradicate the petrol bees before they can eradicate the human race. Led by the brilliant scientist’s former assistant, and in the middle of it all, is one anti-social, very confused, dirt poor Idaho Redneck mountain man and his three legged Raccoon sidekick, who live in an abandoned gravel pit, and wonder why the hell the world won't just leave him and his three legged buddy the hell alone.
